Most Christians assume the white horse rider is Christ — because Jesus rides a white horse at the end of Revelation. But Joe Kirby points out the differences. The first horseman wears a temporary crown — a wreath that will wither — not the many crowns Christ wears. He carries a bow with no arrows — and the Greek word for that bow is toxin — which can also mean rainbow. And what follows after he arrives is not peace but tribulation — war, famine, plague, and death.
