The Gift Does Not Leave When You Do But The Anointing Does

The gift does not leave when you do. But the anointing does. That distinction is one of the most important things a worship leader will ever understand, and most of us were never taught it. Romans 11:29 says the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable. Which means the gift keeps working even when your private life has walked away from God. The music still sounds anointed. The congregation still responds. And the assumption becomes that God is still present. But gifts and anointing are not the same thing. The most dangerous person in the room is not the one who knows they have fallen. The one who knows they have fallen will eventually feel the weight of it. The most dangerous person is the one who has normalised their sin, made peace with the distance, and learned to perform consecration without processing it.
