You cannot be a follower of Jesus and deny His physical, bodily resurrection. The two cancel each other out. If you take away the resurrection, all of Christianity falls apart. We don't follow Jesus just because He was a great moral teacher or because He taught us to turn the other cheek. We follow Him because of a real, physical event in history that changed everything: the empty tomb on that first Easter morning.
