You're NOT Supposed to Fit In

Too many of us are wasting our lives trying to become someone God never created us to be. We compare our personalities, gifts, appearance, success, even our spiritual lives - to everyone around us. And when we don't measure up, we start believing something must be wrong with us. But God never called me to run your race, and He never called you to run mine. My identity isn't supposed to come from fitting in with the world. It comes from knowing who God is and who I am in Christ. Different gifts. Different struggles. Different callings. Different journeys - but the same purpose of living faithfully for Him. And I don't have to run that race alone. As a Christian, I have the Holy Spirit, and I'm part of the body of Christ. Maybe it's time we stopped asking, “Why can't I be more like them?” And started asking, “Who has God called me to be?”
