Thirty | Beliefs: Our Mindset Determines Our Direction

Our mindset always determines our direction. Victor Frankl, a holocaust survivor said in his world renown book, A Man’s Search For Meaning, “Those who have a 'why' to live, can bear with almost any 'how'.” What he infers is that our mindset determines our direction. But I think C.S. Lewis adds a great perspective with this thought, “What you see and what you hear depends a great deal on where you are standing. It also depends on what sort of person you are.” Lewis addresses for me that it is not only about our mindset but the source of that mindset combined with the character of the person hearing it. And the combo platter of source + mindset + character – determine our direction in this life.
