12 Years In Prison - E.I. The King Life Story

“All I knew was prison. I was in and out of prison my whole life - in and out of Juvenile detention centers. Then doing 12 year in prison. Being in prison was my home. I didn’t have a father or mother really, my grandma raised me. Being a hurt, broken kid, I always felt less than everyone, I felt worthless. I tried to prove myself to everyone. I started to gravitate to the streets. When I was 13 I started drinking and smoking. I realized I can make money selling weed, so I started selling drugs. That lead me to get arrested over and over again. Constantly in and out of Juvenile Centers. By the time I was 18 years old, when everyone else was graduating High School, I was walking down a prison hallway with my first long term sentence. I was just so broken. When I got into my prison cell, my cellmate sat me down and told me that he had accepted Jesus into his life and he told me his testimony. He read Matthew 6:24 and the scales fell from my eyes. I knew that I was a sinner and needed a Savior and I committed my life to Jesus by faith. But when I got out of prison, I went back to my old ways. I crashed out. God in his faithfulness would put me on my neck. I got sentenced again, my second prison term. I got out and went back to my old AGAIN! Finally, the third time, I was giving a 9 year sentence and that is where God lead me to a full place of surrender. I served 7 and a half years. During that time, God began to show me that He had a calling on my life. I became a pastor in the prisons. I started four different churches inside of four different prisons. He completely changed me and my whole life is committed to making Jesus known! I know work with people from the streets and teach them their purpose in Christ.
