Many young people walk away from the church because they eventually realize that opposing ideas, like evolution, weren't taught properly at home. If we just mock these ideas—saying things like "monkeys aren't still turning into people"—our kids will eventually enter a classroom, learn the real arguments, and realize we didn't know what we were talking about.
