Francesco from Italy compares the Bible & the Qur'an with 2 eggs, one full, one empty!

We continue with the new speakers who came to get up on the ladder at Speaker's Corner on June 9th. This second speaker was Francesco Maggio who returned to the Corner after 31 years away. And this time he came all the way from Italy with 2 eggs, one representing the Bible, and the other the Qur'an. He wanted to do a comparison between the two books, using the two eggs. The first egg, he said, represented the Bible, and with that Francesco took a knife and split that egg open. Inside he found the egg white and the egg yoke, suggesting that it was full of nourriture, much like the bible, which is the bigger and larger book between the two, a book which can be read in any language, and in whose pages one can find the entire history of God's redemptive plan for humanity. Francesco reminded us that the stories in the Bible are all complete and follow chronologically one after the other, and they nourish and sustain us. It is what is in the Bible which makes the Bible so important. Francesco then took out the second egg, which represented the Qur'an, and when he struck it with a knife it simply crumbled and fell to the ground. It was hollow with nothing inside, just like the Qur'an, which according to Francesco has nothing of good to offer us. The Qur'an, he said, could only be read in one language, Arabic, and had stories which didn't begin and didn't end, with little to no chronology between them, making it not only difficult to read, but at times impossible to understand. Just like the two eggs, the Bible, which like the egg which was filled with food, proved to be the bigger and the better book in every area of comparison, while the Qur'an, which was like the hollow egg, had nothing much to offer, and when compared to the Bible it was likewise hollow and somewhat useless.
