We explore how Habakkuk reuses Ancient Near Eastern imagery (Baal, Yam, Marduk) as polemical biblical theology to proclaim that the God of Israel alone subdues chaos. Along the way, we compare translations, clarify key Hebrew terms, and connect this vision to the Day of the Lord, Exodus motifs, and the journey from fear to faith.
