Iran’s top diplomat is expected to travel to Pakistan by this weekend for renewed peace talks with the U.S., according to Pakistani officials. Iran did not immediately acknowledge the trip. Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump says Israel and Lebanon have agreed to extend a ceasefire by three weeks. A U.S. soldier involved in the military operation to capture Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has been charged with using classified information to win more than $400,000 using the online betting site, Polymarket. Gannon Ken Van Dyke has been charged with unlawful use of confidential government information for personal gain. And the Las Vegas Raiders selected Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the first overall pick in the NFL draft. Mendoza’s selection was expected for months.
