Thomas Apologia, a former atheist, tells us why he now believes in Jesus Christ!

Thomas Apologia (see his YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@Thomas.apologia), is a convert from atheism to Christianity 4 years ago decided to take his turn on the ladder, his first ever, to explain to Jay and the crowd there why he left atheism and chose Jesus Christ as he personal savior. He began by saying that in comparison to the god of Islam, Allah, the God of the Bible is capable of entering 'time and space', and that was important to him because since we can't go up to Him...He would have to come down to us, which He did 2,000 years ago. Thomas continued by reminding us that Allah did descend to the lowest heaven, yet, according to the Islamic Traditions, he ironically had two right hands, a shin, an eye and even fingers, suggesting that the Muslims had anthropomorphized their god to be like them, which is not only contradictory theologically but also made no sense (how or why would someone have 2 right hands?). When asked by Jay why he chose Jesus Christ as his savior, Thomas responded with 4 reasons: 1) Personal Reason: Jesus, four years ago, changed Thomas's life completely. 2) Rational Reason: Jesus Christ can be understood rationally, such as using Thomas Aquinas's argument from motion, which says that secondary movers (i.e. us) are dependent on a primary mover, who has to be God, because only He was pure and holy, and thus independent of anyone or anything, so that consequently, only He could be our creator. 3) Moral Reason: The knowledge of good and evil cannot be subjective, since it would easily depend on the whim of the majority, which changes and moves depending on the loudest or strongest voice. There has to be something or someone larger than all of us, who never changes, so that His morality never changes, and that has to be God, Himself. 4) Historical Reason: In order to believe in Jesus as that eternal creator, a person who can enter 'time and space' and relate to us face-to-face, there has to be historical corroboration that Jesus actually did exist and did come to earth, and did die on the cross and rise again for all of us, including Thomas Apologia. It was when Thomas saw just how historical the story of Jesus was that he was convinced that his God, Jesus Christ, did come to earth, did die and rise again, and did give us a moral code which is for all people, in all places, and for all time. It is for these reasons that Thomas stood on the ladder on June 9th, 2024 to tell the world just how great Jesus Christ is, and how He has changed his life for eternity. © Pfander Centre for Apologetics & Polemics - US, 2024 (107,220)
