Day 115 | 2 Samuel 8:15-18; 1 Chronicles 18:14-17; 1 Chronicles 6:16-30, 50-53, 31-48; 2 Samuel 9:1–10:19; 1 Chronicles 19:1-19
In today’s reading from 2 Samuel 8–9, we witness David reigning over Israel with justice and righteousness, fulfilling God’s call for godly leadership. David doesn’t just rule with authority—he rules with mercy, keeping his covenant with Jonathan by restoring his son Mephebosheth’s place and inheritance. Through this, we see a picture of godly leadership: one that upholds justice, shows kindness, and honors promises. It's also a reminder to pray for our leaders today with hearts aligned to Micah 6:8.
