February 11th, 2014 - We meet Abram and Sarai still childless all these years later even after God had appeared and promised them they would bear countless offspring. In an attempt to perhaps "help" God along in His plan, Sarai decides that maybe God's method of giving Abram children would be through surrogate means via him sleeping with Sarai's Egyptian servant-slave Hagar (a common notion in the world of the Patriarchs in the 2nd millennium BC). The results are just as unpleasant as you'd imagine and the first family dysfunction since Cain and Abel now enter into things...along with a mysterious "Angel" who seems awfully familiar somehow...
