Daniel Everett was a devout Christian missionary. He graduated number one in his class at Bible school. He was an ordained minister. And in 1977 he went to the Amazon jungle to translate the Bible for the Pirahã tribe and plant a church. He spent decades there. He got malaria. His wife almost died. His children grew up in the jungle. And he converted nobody. Not one person. And the reason the Pirahã gave him for refusing the gospel is the most important apologetics challenge your channel has covered all week. In this video I'm reacting to this extraordinary 1.47 million view conversation between Joe Rogan and Daniel Everett and connecting every single moment to what the Bible says about the unreached nations, the geography argument, and the God who makes himself known to every human being. Because here is what most people watching this video completely missed. The Pirahã did not reject the gospel because they heard it and found it unconvincing. They rejected it because they applied their own standard of evidence — and Daniel Everett could not meet it. They said — you keep telling us about Jesus but you have never seen him. Your father never saw him. You don't know anyone who has ever seen him. And you're telling us about him the whole time. We don't want to hear about this anymore. And Daniel Everett — a man who graduated number one from Bible school and knew the Bible better than almost anyone — sat in the Amazon jungle and could not answer that. And eventually stopped believing himself. But here is what I want to say directly to that argument. Romans 1:19-20 — what may be known about God is plain to them because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen being understood from what has been made so that people are without excuse. The Pirahã's question is not a new question. It is the oldest question in the world. And the Bible answered it before Daniel Everett ever got on a plane to Brazil. 1 Peter 3:15 — always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. And then there is the most personal moment in the entire conversation. The moment Daniel Everett told his wife he no longer believed. She walked out of the house. They divorced. He lost his income. He lost his community. He lost everything. And he still says it was the right decision because he could no longer pretend to believe something he did not. That is the saddest sentence I have heard on Joe Rogan this year. Watch until the end — because what Daniel Everett reveals about the tribe that destroyed his faith will give you the most important apologetics preparation for the most common argument against Christianity you will ever face. 📺 Video I Reacted To: PowerfulJRE — Joe Rogan Experience #2547 — Daniel Everett: youtube.com/watch?v=EmgKSK-YMOU Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCg7jOQJHBnZTpo9drrDfJjQ/join If You Want To Decide To Live For Jesus For The First Time Fill This Out! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf1LgtgCypffb_pJ8fZ1QQohAqTMnxskJmk9P7zqgh8m2hDdg/viewform #DanielEverett #Missionary #Pirahã #JoeRogan #BiblicalTruth #ChristianReaction #ElijahZielke #Disturbing #Romans12021 #1Peter315 #GeographyArgument #UnreachedPeoples #BibleProphecy #EndTimes #apologetics
