Works-based “salvation” sounds holy — until you realize it can never actually save anyone. If heaven depends on your performance, then you’re either: - secretly proud you’ve done “enough,” or - constantly terrified you haven’t. The gospel flips the script: You’re saved by grace through faith, then your life changes. Grace first. New heart second. Good works as fruit — not the ticket in. If your theology makes you your own savior… that’s not Christianity, that’s hypocrisy dressed up as holiness.
