Into the Night: A Couple’s First Christmas - Luke 2:1-7 - Skip Heitzig

Robert Browning quipped, “Night conceals a world but reveals a universe.” Kids are often afraid of the dark, preferring a brightly lit room to the pitch black of night. But the Christmas story is shrouded in the darkness of the nighttime sky. Its events took place in a barely lit stable after the innkeeper had pushed Joseph and his very pregnant wife away from shelter and into the night. But God’s universal plan would be revealed through this humble birth. Today we begin this short series by looking at Christmas through the experience of this couple from Nazareth.
