BibleTalk #60 - Blake, Pat & Cindy Hyland

Blake Hyland suffered a severe traumatic brain injury while training as a high-level gymnast. His accident, recovery, family, faith, and what lies ahead are the focus of the new documentary Hi, I'm Blake. I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Blake, as well as his parents, Pat and Cindy. Wow! What an inspiring story! Blake's Bio: 14-year-old Blake Hyland was a high-level gymnast aspiring for more when he suffered a severe traumatic brain injury during practice at his local gym. Initially, the doctors gave Blake a 50% chance of living and he was in a coma for almost 7 weeks. By the time he awoke from his coma he went from 140 pounds down to 110 and he couldn't walk, or talk, and his eyes were fixated to the right. His family refused to believe in anything less than a full recovery for their son and their resolve over the last 8 years helped Blake work towards regaining his independence and future.
