Psalm 22: The Prophecy That Proves the Crucifixion Was No Accident

Psalm 22 prophecy is one of the most shocking pieces of evidence connected to the crucifixion of Jesus, because it describes details no one hanging on a cross could control. In this video, I walk through Psalm 22 and show why this is not just a vague “someone will suffer one day” type of prophecy. Psalm 22 talks about mockery, public shame, thirst, enemies surrounding the sufferer, clothing being divided, and lots being cast. Then when you compare that to the crucifixion of Jesus in Matthew 27 and John 19, the connections are honestly hard to ignore. I made this video because I constantly hear people say Christianity is blind faith, or that Old Testament prophecy about Jesus is too vague to matter. But Psalm 22 creates a real problem for that argument. Jesus quoted the opening line of Psalm 22 while He was dying on the cross when He said, “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?” And once you read the rest of the Psalm, the cross starts looking less like a random tragedy and more like prophecy unfolding right in front of everyone’s eyes. This is not about forcing Jesus into the Old Testament. This is about asking an honest question: how did Psalm 22 describe so many details around Jesus’ crucifixion hundreds of years before it happened? The crowd mocked Him. The religious leaders insulted Him. Jesus thirsted. Roman soldiers divided His clothes and cast lots for His tunic.
