Hey faithful few! Welcome to the third episode of in depth bible studies here on How to Faith a Life, for our series on prayer. Today, after the bible study, I am going to walk you through my prayer journal and share some advice as we scroll through. For our in depth bible study lesson, we are going to talk about pursuing intimacy with Jesus, growing closer with Him and seeking Him, at an intimate level. We talk about how to pray like that and how to make intimate prayers happen! In this bible study on prayer, I ask you your tips and tricks and share my own, so meet us down in the comments to read all those tips on how we pursue intimacy with Jesus through daily prayer, whether that's through a daily prayer journal or daily devotions, or running, driving, folding laundry, etc! Then we walk through my prayer journal and we talk about my thoughts on what it should look like and feel like- probably not what you expect! Contrary to popular opinion, I don't think my journal should be all pretty and colorful and perfect, or even colored. I fight the battles in this prayer journal, so it's filled with tears, coffee stains, and it sure isn't neat hand writing! A lot of the time I am crying and writing prayers at the same time! So, as we walk through my prayer journal, you won't see a ton of neat and pretty pages, but a lot of battle grounds. I hope this bible study on prayer brings you to thinking in-depth about how you practice the spiritual discipline of prayer in your women's morning devotionals and how you can integrate more intimate, un-distracted times with Jesus! Intimacy with Jesus is for all God's people! But I think we need more practical encouragement in the church on how to actually pursue that! I hope this bible study for women, though less meat-filled, is encouraging and motivating, inspiring you to get up and pray and pursue intimacy with Jesus.
