#9: Those who "Knew" Muhammad lived 100s of miles north!

It's obvious from what we have seen so far that none of the those who wrote about the prophet's life, or compiled what he said ever met him, or knew him because they all lived hundreds of years after him. But that is not the only problem. They didn't live anywhere near him either. While Muhammad’s life was lived out in Mecca and Medina, the earliest recorders of his life were compiled by authors who lived 1200 miles northeast in Baghdad. What's more, they all were born and grew up in places hundreds of miles away as well. The man credited with writing down his biography, Ibn Hisham, was born in Barsa (1,200 miles from Mecca), but grew up in Cairo (990 miles from Mecca). The man who was the first to write down his sayings, Al Bukhari, was born and grew up in Bukhara, Uzbekistan (2,600 miles from Mecca), while the man credited with writing down the first Tafsir and Takhrikh, al Tabari lived in Tabaristan (1,700 miles from Mecca). How could these people, who lived hundreds and thousands of miles further north, possibly have any knowledge of what Muhammad did or said? How could they have any authority over the events that occurred not only long before their time but also so very far away?
