Yet, the Qur'an ironically understands the ATONEMENT Correctly!

Today, Easter, is the most important day in the Christian calendar, because it is today when Christ ROSE from the dead, and by doing so, conquered death, our death, by substituting Himself for us, giving us the opportunity for eternal life with HIM. Yet, Muslims have always confronted this notion of 'substitutionary atonement', claiming that no one can take on the sins of another, because not only is that not fair, but the Qur'an clearly denies this possibility not once, but 4 times: In Surah 6:164; 29:12-13; 39:7 and 53:38. Yet, these verses are not quite what Muslims claim, as they aren't reading them carefully, nor exegeting them correctly. Let me explain. Last night I was listening for about 5 minutes to a very interesting 'Live-stream' put on by Elle ISO Elohim on her channel (which is at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHvWSEFKZXU), where Elle brought up Surah 29:12 - 13, pointing out that verse 12 says no one can bear another's sin, which is then contradicted by the next verse 13, which says that we can bear the sins of another. It's obvious that whoever wrote these two verses either didn't understand what they were writing, or they were trying to suggest that Jews and Christians can bear the sins of the Muslims; without realizing that this still supports the notion of substitutionary atonement. But it is the three classical verses on this subject of atonement which are of most interest to me, Surahs 6:164, 39:7 and 53:38, because they are much more explicit concerning who exactly can atone for us. While I was listening to the 'Live-stream' David Wood, a good friend and well known apologist on YouTube, chimed in by pointing out that these two verses actually say just the opposite of what Muslims claim they say, once you read the words more carefully, and he is absolutely correct, as we have said numerous times in the past. So, let’s go and see what exactly he was referring to… Beginning with Surah 6:164, it says: "No person earns a [sin] except against himself [only], and no BEARER OF BURDENS shall bear the burden of another". So, a "bearer of Burdens" means anyone who has sin, which includes all of humanity. This is repeated in Surah 39:7, stipulating that “no bearer of burdens shall bear the burdens of another”; thus, no one who is sinful already (i.e. a bearer of burdens) can bear the sins of another, because he is also just as guilty. Surah 53:38 solidifies this belief, saying, "No BURDENED PERSON [in other words a person with sins] shall bear the burden [sins] of another". These three verses are very clear that no sinful person can bear or take on the sins of another. Which means that only someone who is sinless, or who is righteous, or who is pure, can bear the sins of another. But there is no righteous person, for "We all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). And further, we know that "The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). Consequently, all of us deserve death, which eradicates any possibility that any of us can bear the sins of another person. On that note the Qur'an is correct. But hold on! There is one person who is without sin, Jesus Christ. The Bible is very clear on this point. Even the Qur'an supports this view in Surah 19:19, which says, "For I (Jibril) am only a messenger from your Lord, to announce to you (Mary) the gift of a RIGHTEOUS SON (Issa)". At least the Qur'an gets that right, Jesus is the "Righteous Son", the sinless son in this verse. He, therefore, has no burden (no sin), which means he is the only one who can bear our sins, because he is the only one who qualifies to do so. While I don't use the Qur'an as my authority, the Muslims do; and they can see here that these verses which seem to suggest that no one can bear the sins of another are really saying that none of us can bear the sins of another...which is something only a sinless person can do, and the only sinless person in the history of mankind was Jesus himself. Can you now understand why Easter day is so important for us? It is because the only Sinless One (Jesus Christ), came to earth and died on Friday, to take on our guilt, but arose on Sunday, today, so that he could destroy death and make us guiltless. That's the gospel message right there, and anyone who believes that Jesus did die and rise again, can participate in his atonement, and thereby be saved for eternity. Or, in other words "Come Home".
