Civil War within Islam! Who will win? Dr Yasir Qadhi vs Adnan Rashid!?

On June 9 of this year, Dr Yasir Qadhi, considered by many to be one of the Muslim world's leading Western scholars, admitted in an interview that every Scholar here in the West considers the Islamic authority for what Muhammad said and did (i.e. the Sunnah of the Prophet) to be completely discredited historically. This very public admission has shocked the Muslim world, with many Muslims now trying desperately to repair the damage by confronting Dr Qadhi publicly, including Adnan Rashid, a Pakistani friend of ours from London with a YouTube following above 300,000. In this video Dr Jay Smith and his Nigerian friend Korede Olawoyin look at a 40 second video recorded just a few weeks ago, where Adnan Rashid confronts the credibility and academic authority of Dr Qadhi due to his interview of June 9, suggesting that he (Adnan) has a much better academic pedigree than Dr Qadhi, so Muslims should just stop listening to anything Dr Qadhi says. In this video Jay and Korede unpack the significance of Adnan Rashid's "academic degree", which you will find is not only hopelessly feeble by any Western Academic standard, but his OT bragging about it is symptomatic of the very real problems Muslims like Adnan Rashid are going to have in the future, as they watch the Western world turn away from such hopelessly inadequate academic achievements, and turn towards the Dr Qadhi's of the world to find out what Islam really believes in the 21st century. Muslim scholars like Dr Yasir Qadhi and Dr Shabir Ally have done the hard academic research on their traditions, and are now desperately trying to explain to the rest of us in the West the problems they have had when attempting to persuade us concerning the historical authority for their prophet as well as the historical viability with the origins of their entire religion. The academic credibility Adnan assumes he has, especially when compared to that of Dr Qadhi, points out just how out-of-touch he and his Muslim colleagues have become with where the world is now moving. Muslims like Dr Qadhi are the future of Islam, and the rest of the Muslims are going to have to face that fact, and stop saying such idiotic and demeaning things as Adnan is saying here.
