Did archaeologists just uncover evidence connected to the destruction of Nineveh?
Nineveh was the capital of the Assyrian Empire and is one of the most famous cities mentioned in the Bible. It is the same city connected to the story of Jonah and later the prophecy of Nahum. For years, skeptics questioned whether the biblical account could be trusted, but archaeological discoveries continue to reveal fascinating evidence from the ancient world.
Researchers excavating the ancient site have uncovered destruction layers, burned structures, and evidence consistent with a violent collapse of the city. Ancient historical records also describe flooding during the attack, a detail that has many Bible researchers comparing these discoveries with the biblical account.
Could this be evidence connected to the fall of Nineveh? What do these discoveries tell us about biblical history? Watch the full video to see the evidence and decide for yourself.
