Muhammad is sinful, while Jesus is Sinless!! @SC

Muslims have only one model, one paradigm to go to in order to know how they are to live, and that is Muhammad. Christians also have a model to go to, and that is Jesus. Yet, when we go to the Qur'an we find that it is Jesus and not Muhammad who is superior and more relevant in almost every category. Take the category of sinlessness. Muslims claim that Muhammad was sinless, but the Qur'an differs. In Surahs 40:55 and 47:19 Allah tells Muhammad to ask forgiveness for his sins. Muslims respond that those verses only pertain to the time before he became a prophet, and that once he was a prophet, he then refrained from sinning. The Qur'an confronts that notion saying in Surah 48:1-2 that Muhammad is to ask for forgiveness for the sins he has done, and for the sins he is yet to do...even as a prophet, proving that he continued to sin even during his supposed prophethood, So, is anyone sinless in the Qur'an? This answer is yes, there is one who is sinless, and he is Isa, the Qur'anic Jesus. According to Surah 19:19 Isa is referred to as the 'righteous one', the sinless one, He alone is given that title, proving that while Muhammad had to ask forgiveness for his sins, Isa never did. So, while Muhammad proves inadequate, only Jesus proves worthy, the only sinless one, which only God could be...sinless, suggesting once again that it is Jesus who is uniquely positioned for our worship and adoration. © Pfander Centre for Apologetics - US, 2019 (25,670)
