Miracles Don't Exist... Or Do They? The Skeptic's Journey Part 3

Do you believe in miracles or prophecies? The Skeptic’s Journey is a true story of an atheist’s search for answers over more than a decade. The central figure in this series is highly intellectual and extremely skeptical about anything spiritual, including God. He set out to disprove God’s existence and the validity of the Bible. In Part 3, our skeptic turns to the Bible for answers, albeit from a skeptical and critical point of view. After understanding the difference between the Old and New Testaments, he then focuses his research on the 300+ Biblical prophecies about the Messiah (the Savior of the world) found in the Old Testament. He is extremely perplexed to discover that these prophecies appear to be fulfilled in the New Testament in the person of Jesus Christ. Convinced the writings had to be altered to model the life of Jesus, he was even more confounded to learn that the Dead Sea Scrolls found in 1946 were carbon dated by two independent, non-Christian scientific teams in the 1990’s—both of which concluded the Old Testament (including these 300+ prophecies) were written before Jesus was born. Determined to uncover the truth, the skeptic hypothesizes that Jesus’ entire life was a hoax modeled to fit the profile of these ancient prophecies. The video concludes with the skeptic committing to further investigate the person of Jesus and his “alleged” miracles.
