But at the heart of this passage is a surprising voice: the Servant of the Lord, understood by many to be the pre-incarnate Christ. In Isaiah 50, we hear Him describe His mission—to comfort the weary, to submit to suffering, and to obey the Father no matter the cost. This powerful chapter foreshadows the cross and invites us to respond with the same trust and obedience Christ modeled.
