Ukraine Hits Two Russian Refineries, Earthquake in Japan Kills 18, and Fed Interest Rates #shorts

Ukraine says its forces have hit two of Russia’s major oil refineries in their latest long-range strikes. Kyiv has targeted Russian oil facilities for months leading to a severe fuel crisis in the country. The attacks came shortly after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington. At least 18 people are dead after a 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck southern Japan on Tuesday. Soldiers and emergency workers are combing through a damaged shopping mall and collapsed homes for survivors. It remains unclear how many people might still be missing. And the Federal Reserve is expected to keep its benchmark interest rate unchanged Wednesday. With inflation still well above its target and unemployment still low, the U.S. central bank is not expected to raise or cut rates at this meeting.
