Rev. James Kaddis and Jay discuss why they think October 7th happened. Jay suggested that the atrocities on that day indirectly had to do with the Abrahamic Accords, where many of the Oil rich Sunni states were turning their backs on the Palestinians because they needed to diversify from oil to entertainment (i.e. professional golf, formula 1, boxing and football), research (the NEOM project) and education (large new universities in Riyadh, Jeddah and Aqaba) in order to sustain a viable future in their region. By diversifying they needed to liberalize and look for future Western investment, which meant that they had to accept Jewish investment, as they had the 'deepest financial pockets' in the West. In order to glean their finances the Sunni countries would need to go through Israel, as no Jew would invest in any country which was allied against Israel. What's more, Hamas, a Sunni group had turned its back on its Sunni brothers and were courting Iran, the head of the Shi'ite faction, which have been hated by the Sunnis for 1400 years. This was too much for the Sunni states, who saw this as traitorous. With no more funds coming from the oil rich Sunni states, and with all the attention in the Middle East now focused on the Abrahamic Accord, Hamas had to attack Israel on October 7th, and hope that Israel would respond, which they did, which gave them the chance to play the victim card, as they have done for almost 80 years now. What is telling is that all of the public demonstrations against Israel, and for Hamas have been coming from the USA and Europe, and almost nothing has come from the streets of Amman, Damascus, Cairo or Riyadh, which suggests that the peoples in the oil-rich Sunni countries are decidedly for Israel and against Hamas, and want Israel to win this war, because Jay believes, their whole future is tied up in them winning. Jay also talked about the problem for MBS who must now have a welcoming environment for the Western researchers, teachers, and sportsmen and women, so he has stated that he will only use the Qur'an as his constitution, and any of the Islamic Traditions which contradict the Qur'an, which many do, and are the most difficult for non-Muslims to adhere to, he will throw out, paving the way for Westerners to live easily in his future kingdom. © Pfander Centre for Apologetics & Polemics - US, Nov. 14, 2024 (112,400)
