To label something as "toxic," you have to appeal to an objective standard. ๐

Calling something toxic means it is poisonous, harmful, or bad. When people say Christianity is toxic because it believes in right and wrong, they are actually invoking the very idea of "right and wrong" to prove their point. Logically, that argument collapses in on itself.
I see this so often in the deconstruction movement and progressive Christianity: there is a refusal to ground morality in an objective standard like God, yet no hesitation to use a constantly shifting standard to judge others.
