Jesus Was Betrayed for the Price of a Dead Slave

Jesus was betrayed for 30 pieces of silver, but that number was not random. In Exodus 21:32, 30 shekels was the compensation price for a slave. Then in Zechariah 11, that same amount appears again — 30 pieces of silver — and the money is connected to the house of the Lord and the potter.
Judas thought he was making a deal, but Scripture had already pointed to the betrayal of Jesus centuries before it happened. This is one of the most shocking prophecy details in the Bible.
