Mines in the Strait of Hormuz, China Brokers Peace Agreement, and Architect Pleads Guilty #shorts

Iranian news agencies are reporting that the IRGC placed sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz, a likely pressure tactic ahead of possible ceasefire negotiations in Islamabad on Friday. The shaky agreement is largely holding despite Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz again Wednesday in response to Israeli attacks in Lebanon. Chinese officials say Afghanistan and Pakistan have agreed not to escalate their conflict after several weeks of fighting. The two countries have exchanged cross-border attacks since February. The conflict has killed hundreds of people, with roughly 94,000 displaced. And a Long Island architect has pleaded guilty to murdering seven women and admitted he killed an eighth in a string of long-unsolved crimes known as the Gilgo Beach killings.
