What?! You have no Original Qur'an? Just an 'Archetype'?

Wishing you all A HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Let's see if 2021 is as exciting on Islam's Historical front as 2020 turned out to be! One of our viewers, Abdiquadri, makes and interesting statement, where he says, "Recent scholars of the Quran history have established clear evidence from manuscripts that there was an Uthmanic archetype" I had to confront that notion, so, in this video I reminded AbdiQuadri that everything these scholars were dependent on to come to their conclusions concerning this ubiquitous "Archetype" was what later Abbasid traditions from the 9th and 10th century tell us concerning this supposed archetypal Qur'an (a sort of "Q" document). Yet, we're only talking about 1400 years ago, which isn't very long. Christians have been able to preserve entire New Testaments from 200-300 years earlier (i.e. the Sinaiticus and the Vaticanus from the 4th century, and the Alexandrinus from the 5th century). And by the 6th century, we are able to produce over 200 either complete or fragmentary copies of the New Testament which are extent today. So, Muslims should easily be able to come up with just One manuscript of their Qur'an by the 7th century. Remember, it's only the Islamic Traditions which tell us that Uthman had 5 copies of the Qur'an sent to 5 cities to not merely maintain the Quraishi script, but also to preserve the Qur'an in those cities, and yet not one of the 5 has survived till today. Either that it hopeless incompetence, or they never existed to begin with. I go with the latter. Therefore, since Muslims cannot provide us with even 1 of Uthman's 5 Qur'ans, they go to the late Islamic Traditions and employ it as their sole authority for his Qur'ans, suggesting that because Al Bukhari in 870 AD said there was an Uthmanic Qur'an in 652 AD, we can, or rather MUST believe him. My question is, since when have we got in the business of trusting what people were saying 200-300 years after the fact? None of them ever knew Muhammad or Uthman, nor saw any early Qur'ans, and they all lived too far north, and 100s of miles away. Are you beginning to see a pattern here? Isn't this the exact same problem we encountered with a paucity of references to Muhammad, or the city of Mecca, or people called Muslims, or even a religion called Islam in the 7th century? I'm getting tired of hearing the same old story, demanding that I simply trust the latter redactions of people and books which never existed! I would rather go directly to the century this Qur'an was purportedly written, to the 7th century, and look for this 'Uthmanic Recension' in that century! Is that too much to ask? For Muslims that is a question you aren't permitted to ask...another red line beyond which we dare not go, out of respect for the Qur'an. Yet, we all know why they can't answer this simple question; Uthman's Qur'an just never existed, and that is why they then have to create a supposed 'Archetype', constructed from what the later Traditions say it may have been, and then redact that Qur'an back to the 7th century. Muslims, please stop wasting our time.
