LIFT Daily Prayer: Resist the Devil’s Temptations | November 11, 2025

Today’s Verse: Matthew 4:8 (NKJV) “Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.” Satan offered Jesus the kingdoms of the world—power, wealth, and glory in exchange for worship. It was a shortcut, a temptation to bypass the will of the Father. But Jesus refused. He would not compromise obedience for gain. The same enemy still tempts us today, dangling pride, possessions, and pleasure before our eyes, whispering, “You can do this on your own.” But every shortcut to sin leads to destruction. The devil probes relentlessly, looking for an open door into our hearts, homes, and families. So today, stand firm. Guard your heart against temptation. Refuse the enemy’s offers, no matter how appealing they appear. Fix your eyes on Jesus, who conquered every temptation, and pray for strength to do the same.
