Masturbation, the Bible, & Is Self-Pleasure Wrong in Christianity

Is self-pleasuring yourself wrong in Christianity? Is masturbation mentioned in the Bible? Is self-pleasure a sin in the Bible? Is Masturbation a sin? The answer to all of these questions is yes. So what does the Bible say about masturbation? Most Bible teaching about masturbation tells Christians the Bible does not mention masturbation. Some pastors or teachers then state that masturbation is not sin because there are no direct mentions of it in the Scriptures. Masturbation is only sin, according to them, if you lust, commit adultery in your heart, or do some other sin that is mentioned in the Bible. In this video I show that the Bible does say masturbation is a sin. The Bible does not list every sin by name. Rather, the Bible gives Christians categories to live within. When it comes to sexual activity, the two categories are sexual activity with your spouse and sexual activity away from your spouse. If you spouse is present and involved, this is not sin. Masturbation is sin because you do it by yourself without a spouse. If you are married sexual activity is for you and your spouse. If you are single, you must abstain from all sexual activity because you don't have a spouse. When you read 1 Corinthians 7:5, 8-9, we can see that masturbation is a sin for Christians according to the Bible. In other Bible verses like 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 the only solution for sexual purity, other than marriage, is abstaining. Masturbation is wrong and is a sin in Scripture.
