The Temple of God Is Destroyed | Day 238 | Chronological Bible Podcast

Day 238 | Jeremiah 39:11-18; Jeremiah 40:1-6; 2 Kings 25:8-21; Jeremiah 52:12-27; 2 Chronicles 36:15-21; Lamentations 1:1-22 After centuries of warnings and repeated calls to repentance, God’s patience with Judah came to an end. The Babylonians breached Jerusalem, burned the temple, tore down its walls, and carried the survivors into exile. In this sobering account, we see God’s compassion and patience toward His people, His justice and judgment when they refuse to turn back, and His sovereignty in directing even pagan kings to accomplish His purposes. This was the day the presence of God’s temple was removed from His people.
