Denying Self and Following Jesus 🔄Q: How can I truly follow Jesus? A: Deny yourself, pick up your cross, and follow Him by revealing the Father through your life, recognizing that you were made for God's image, not your own. 🎯Q: What's the prerequisite for following Jesus? A: The prerequisite is to deny yourself and pick up your cross, understanding that the gospel is about becoming like Jesus while we live, not just going to heaven when we die. Restoring God's Image 🔁Q: What was Jesus' primary mission on earth? A: Jesus came to restore us to the image of God, becoming the firstborn among many brethren (Eph 1:20-23), not just to save us from hell. 👶Q: How can we regain the image of God that was lost? A: Become like little children who are innocent and not self-conscious, being innocent of evil and excellent in what is good (Romans). Overcoming Deception 🚫Q: What attitudes should we avoid as Christians? A: Avoid unforgiveness and discouragement, which are deceptions that justify wrong actions and make us feel entitled, never bringing life or fruit. 💪Q: How should we approach the day of judgment? A: Approach it with boldness, not fear, because love makes us bold (1 John 4:17) and we are as He is right now. Living in Love ❤️Q: Can we truly live like Jesus loves? A: Yes, love is love, not levels; we can mature in love and become one with God, seeing through His eyes. 🧼Q: Is Jesus' purity different from our own? A: No, purity isn't levels; it's one or the other. We are seated in Heavenly places and call God Father, making ourselves sons (John 5:18-23). Compassion and Prayer 🙏Q: How should we respond to those struggling with addiction and lostness? A: Respond with compassion and prayer, not anger and judgment, weeping for them and knowing better. Characteristics of Love 💖Q: What are the key attributes of love according to 1 Corinthians 13:4-8? A: Love doesn't take into account suffering, bears up under all things, hopes all things, believes all things, thinks no evil, and never fails. Living for God's Image 🌍Q: Why are we not living for God's image? A: We've been tricked into making it all about us from the beginning, living in a world we weren't created for, forgetting we were made for God's image, not ourselves. 🔄Q: How can we break free from self-centeredness? A: Recognize that we were never made for ourselves but for God's image, and actively work to deny the biggest problem of living for oneself.
