“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8)
Jesus doesn’t begin with outward behavior—He goes straight to the heart.
Why? Because the heart is the source of our thoughts, desires, motives, and ultimately our actions.
Purity of heart means more than looking righteous on the outside. It means living with an undivided devotion to God instead of being double-minded, divided, or hypocritical.
And the promise Jesus gives is breathtaking:
“They shall see God.”
The pure in heart begin to recognize God’s presence in Scripture, in creation, in His people, and in everyday life—and one day, they will see Him face to face.
In this short clip from our Sermon on the Mount series, we explore what true purity really means and why it changes the way we see everything.
