Christian View of Depression and Anxiety || Christian Devotional || Jesus for Mommies Ep. 5?!

Hey Faithful Few! Welcome back to my series of Christian Devotions for mothers, "Jesus for Mommies"- hopefully, my prayer for these video devotions is that they meet you where you're at and lead us into fellowship and conversation. Today's topic is depression and anxiety. This is a weighty topic and one that I am very closely aquatinted with, because my family and I have struggled with it. Anxiety and depression are very real issues that can feel crippling even in the Christian walk and I think it is important for us to acknowledge them and meet them with scripture. My goal is to not only provide Christian help with depression, but also start a conversation in the comments where women can encourage each other and pray for each other, bearing one another's burdens. We look at revenant and encouraging scriptures and really talk about a Christian theology of depression and try to counter many of the lies that I feel like try to hit us while we are struggling with depression and/or anxiety. Whether it is after the loss of a loved one or postpartum hormones, depression can be debilitating for mothers- I know first hand! Hopefully this video will provide some encouragement. Christian depression counseling is very important and this is to never replace that- but rather be a tool in addition to it. I want to provide some Christian, depression help.
