Iran Seizes Three Ships, Navy Secretary Phelan Out, and Senate Votes to Reopen DHS #shorts

Iran has fired on three ships in the Strait of Hormuz and seized two of them. The news comes a day after U.S. President Donald Trump extended a ceasefire but pressed on with an American blockade of Iranian ports. The White House says the seizures did not violate ceasefire terms. The Pentagon announced that Navy Secretary John Phelan is leaving his post. No reason was given for the unexpected departure of the Navy’s top civilian official. Undersecretary Hung Cao will take over as acting head of the Navy. And the Senate has taken the first steps in a new effort to reopen the Department of Homeland Security, voting to adopt a budget plan that would fund ICE and Border Patrol.
