Old Testament God vs. New Testament God | Heartbeat of God | Jesus is All Over the Old Testament
Some people avoid the Old Testament because they struggle with what they read about God in it. Others only want to read about Jesus in the New Testament. But the thing is, Jesus is all over the Old Testament!!
In 1 Samuel 28:16, Samuel tells Saul that he has become an enemy of God. At first read, that can feel really jarring. Doesn’t the Bible say God will never leave us or forsake us? This is why knowing God’s heart matters!
The Bible teaches us that we were all enemies of God and separated from Him because of our sin. Yet while we were still enemies, Christ came for us (hallelujah!). He reconciled us to God and restored the relationship we could never repair on our own (Romans 5:10).
When we study Scripture through the lens of God’s character, difficult passages begin to make sense. That’s the heart behind Heart Dive.
❤️ Read the Word. Know His Heart. Live It Out.
If you’re ready to discover the fullness of God’s character from Genesis to Revelation, join us for Bible study.
