LIFT Daily Prayer: Like Father, Like Children | November 24, 2025

Today’s Verse: Ephesians 5:1 (NKJV) “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.” Children naturally copy the ones they love. They watch how a parent walks, talks, and reacts, and before long, they begin to mirror those patterns, sometimes without even realizing it. In the same way, God calls us to imitate Him as His dearly loved children, to “mime” His heart to a watching world not just with our words, but with our attitudes, choices, and reactions. So today, ask the Lord to help you consciously imitate Him in very specific ways. When you are tempted to react in the flesh, stop and ask, “How does my Father speak and act in moments like this?” Choose to extend grace where you would normally hold a grudge, to tell the truth where you might shade it, to serve where you would rather be served. Invite the Holy Spirit to make you a living picture of Jesus in your home, at work, and wherever you go, so that those around you can see what His love looks like in real time, even before you say a word.
