Discover more at http://beresolute.org “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry” -James 1:19 To listen better we can accelerate how we listen. Men can be quick to speak and quick to be angry. These are not accidental behaviors but learned behaviors, and so is quick listening. We learn to speak and get angry quickly because we have tried them previously and they have worked. When these tactics work, and we are rewarded for them by winning we do them quicker in the future. This means we can learn to be quicker to listen. The easy way to be quicker when we listen is by closing the gap in our listening. Here is what I mean. If listening is the combination of hearing and acting, to listen quickly all we really need to do is close the gap between our hearing and acting when it comes to truth. Therefore, when we hear a truth merely act on it more quickly. Give less time for denial, justification, blame, and attack and instead just do it. #BeResolute #Leadership #VinceMiller
