Pastor Rich was walking through a mall in Baltimore when he ran into a retired minister. And what followed was one of the most extraordinary street evangelism conversations I have ever watched. This minister knew the Bible. He knew about blood sacrifice and why blood wipes away sin. He knew about the covenant. He knew about grace and works and the difference between them. He answered every single question about Scripture with precision and depth. And then Pastor Rich started talking about iniquity — willing sin — the difference between stumbling into sin and practicing it deliberately while knowing it is wrong. And the minister got up and walked away. Because here is what hit me hardest. Pastor Rich said it himself — this man is called to be a minister. He knows the Word. But right now he is ministering for the wrong side.
