Season 6 of Matthew takes us beyond simply seeing what Jesus can do and asks us to consider who He truly is. We’ve seen the impossible become possible and religion confronted by relationship. Now Jesus takes us even deeper into what it truly means to follow Him. This isn’t about knowing more about God. It’s about actually knowing Him. Not rules and regulations, but relationship. Not self righteousness, but surrender. Religion leads with fear, guilt and control. Jesus offers love, grace and freedom. And His perfect love casts out fear. The question now isn’t just do you believe in Him, but do you know Him?
