Is there More Meaning to Jesus’ Sacrifice than His De*th?

Jesus’ atonement is frequently discussed in terms of what his de*th accomplished, but what about his resurrection life? How does the community of Jesus participate in his sacrifice? It turns out, to participate in an ancient sacrifice was to eat of the sacrifice, and this is exactly what Christians do when they celebrate the Eucharist—they symbolically represent that their lives are caught up with and identified with the life of Jesus, who went to God on their behalf as their representative.
