Abraham Was Enneagram 9?!

Trying to be relevant with culture is a dangerous game. Taking a hot cultural topic and doing a sermon series on it isn’t necessarily bad. This of course assumes you, as the pastor, want to give you people biblical lenses in which to view the cultural moment through. It’s a totally different thing when we allow that culturally relevant topic to then be read onto the scriptures. In this sermon review Pastor Matt Brown preaches an entire sermon on how Abraham was an enneagram nine. To make this work Brown ignores a lot of context and instead seems to read characteristics onto Abraham that don’t seem to be in the text.
