Anxiety
Philippians 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Berean Standard Bible · public domain
Paul writes from a Roman cell. The opposite of anxiety isn't calm — it is prayer with thanksgiving. The peace that follows is described not as a feeling but as a guard, posted at the heart's gates.
