Father of Kish, and consequently grandfather of Saul, (1 Samuel 9:1) as well as of Abner, Saul’s commander-in-chief. (1 Samuel 14:51) (B.C. 1093-1055.) One of David’s mighty men. (1 Chronicles 11:32) In (2 Samuel 23:31) he is called ABI-ALBON. (B.C. 1053.)
