John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John opens his Gospel with creation language — In the beginning was the Word — and lands here, fourteen verses later: the Word pitched his tent among us. The Greek verb is the tent-pegging word for tabernacle. God moves into the neighborhood.
